Preparation of employee disciplinary & termination notices, separation agreements. Defense and prosecution of wrongful discharge, harrassment and employment discrimination charges and lawsuits. Consultation and representation in minimum wage & overtime pay lawsuits, including class actions. Preparation of substance abuse programs, employee handbooks and other employment policies and procedures. Defense and prosecution of claims involving non-compete agreements, restrictive covenants, confidentiality agreements, trade secrets and business confidences. Consultation and advice regarding affirmative action compliance and other government contracting issues. Representation of employers in administrative hearings before the Industrial Commission of Ohio, involving issues such as medical benefits, worker's compensation, wage loss, permament and temporary disability, total and partial disability, death benefits and violation of a specific safety requirement, defense and pursuit of related appeals and mandamus actions on behalf of employers. Representation and consultation in regard to employee benefit plans and related isssues. Assistance in employers' opposition to union organizing efforts, negotiations with union, labor arbitration hearings. Consultation regarding harassment, violence in the workplace, and privacy issues. Representation of employers in workplace safety and health issues, including proceedings before OSHA.
